Descience - Research on the Runaway - Nov 22nd

Educate the world about you research. Submit scientific images & explanation by November 22 and if your submission is chosen, you’ll be paired in January with an up-and-coming fashion designer who will create a garment inspired by your research to walk the runway 25th of September. Minimum commitment beyond initial submission is a single review session with your designer, though additional collaboration is highly encouraged.

We are excited about participating scientists from MIT Media Lab, University of Massachusetts Medical School, Harvard University, the Gladstone Institute, UCSF, Karolinska Institutet and the Catholic University of Chile, among others.

Nobel laureate, Professor Craig Mello (http://www.nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/medicine/laureates/2006/mello-bio.html)  and Professor Jack Szostak will be on the judging panel together with Sondra Grace (http://www.massart.edu/sondra_grace.html)  – Chair of Fashion Design Department, Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
