The purpose of this event was to promote the exchange of new concepts and ideas around fundamental questions in cancer research by bringing together researchers, professionals and entrepreneurs from a variety of fields, including life sciences, engineering, management and finance.

The event was dedicated to the memory of Salvador Luria (1912-1991), an Italian physician and scientist who won the Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology in 1969 and founded the Center for Cancer Research at MIT in 1972, today known as The Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research.

We would like to thank Novartis and Charles River Laboratories for their crucial support in the realization of this event. The event was endorsed by the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), Boston Section.
